The Outdoorsy Raid Pierpont Place!

It's no secret that being a local Salt Lake City company ourselves, we at Pierpont LOVE working with our fellow natives. So when the SLC market experts, Experticity, ask us to throw their clients a good party, we hear them loud and clear. As many of the companies Experticity represents are in the outdoor product industry, it was fitting for us to host them an event during Salt Lake's pride, the Outdoor Retailers Convention. Being as we all love the outdoors (and great parties), it was fitting for us to throw a one of a kind event for our friends.

With Premer providing our classic beer and wine service and Park City's own, High West Whiskey keeping the drinks flowing out of a massive ice sculpture, guests certainly got their lips wet. This party consisted of many flannel shirts, puffy coats, and talk about the newest innovation in outdoor gear. After those darn hippies drank all the whiskey dry, they hit the dance floor with their woodland inspired moves.

The end of the evening brought the end end of the Outdoor Retailer parties for us at Pierpont. Having hosted another excellent Scarpa event the night before, it was times for us to rest our tired heads and gear up for more more more Sundance!! We look forward to the Outdoor Retailers partying with us again this summer!

Quite a Posh Start to Sundance 2013

As Utahns, we either love or loathe the annual Sundance Film Festival.  It brings big crowds, makes restaurants difficult to get a table at, fills our state with the rich and famous, and permits everyone be a film critic (at least for a week).   It’s a festival synonymous with fancy parties and exclusive events making it right up our alley.

Sponsored by Ciroc Vodka, Zions Bank Corporation, Stella Artois, Nalgene, and Brita Water Filters, the Salt Lake City Sundance Premier Gala was held at Pierpont Place last week to a huge crowd of locals, visitors, and a few celebrities here and there.

The food included a wide spread of local cheeses, fruits, and desserts prepared by Main Event Catering.  Drinks flowed as guests mingled and discussed the film seen earlier that evening at the Rose Wagner Theatre.
It was a fantastic start to what certainly turned out to be another well-done Sundance.  We here at Pierpont Place and Premier Event Services have been producing excellent events for the festival for years and are looking forward to Sundance 2014 already!

Upcoming Sundance Events with Pierpont Place & Premier!

It's that time of year again when our humble state becomes all the rage with SLC International packed with private jets, guest lists exclusiveness, winter fashion explosion, and of course, a few decent movies here and there. Sundance Film Festival starts this Friday and we at Pierpont Place are so very excited to be hosting a number of events over the next few weeks.

This Friday, we are hosting the Salt Lake City Sundance Gala downtown in conjunction with the very first film screening of the festival. Let's hope you know somebody who knows somebody because this event is by invitation only.

In addition to Sundance, we are hosting parties for Experticity and Scarpa. We really can't wait to feast our eyes on some hot new climbing gear and remind ourselves that summer will come again soon and the gym will be a thing of the past.

Lastly, January 26th is the Essent ISU World Sprint Speed Skating Championships sponsored by the Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation. The races will be held in Kearns, but the after party will be at Pierpont Place that evening.

We've got a lot coming up for the rest of the month and we look forward to seeing you at one of our many events!

A Tasty Winter Pop-Up Farmers Market

One of my favorite things about Salt Lake City in the summer is the Farmer's Market every Saturday in Pioneer Park. I hop on my old 1960s Schwinn and cruise on over to with my reusable bags in my backpack and a list of all the veggies and other ingredients I need for the week. People watching at the Farmers Market is top notch as the city's eclectic come out to perform, barter, and sniff trees (the dogs are my favorite). It is a weekly event that brings the community together and I am always sad when November nears and it's over for the season.

Well, imagine my excitement when the Downtown Alliance chose our very own Pierpont Place to be the location for the Winter Pop-Up Farmers Market this month! Volunteering our venue and services, Pierpont Place helped to create yet another successful market in Downtown this past Saturday.

The winter storm managed to scare off just a few vendors that were meant to be outside, but inside our space was packed with artisan cheese, soap, meat, organic produce, chocolates, and even flour made from crickets! Premier offered up a selection of delicious morning beverages not commonly seen at the normal Farmers Market including Mimosas, Bloody Marys, and Irish coffees. We certainly enjoyed ourselves as well, getting our street food fix from World Dog who was set up outside and sipping on the tasty orange juice and basil concoction created by our neighbors, Zest.

It was our pleasure to host the Downtown Alliance and we are so happy to be a part of the Downtown Salt Lake community.  If you were at last weekend's market, we are interested in your feedback. And if visiting our space has inspired you to book your next event with us, please contact one of our amazing event planners to set up a meeting!
